Caique
The caique was a traditional wooden boat of the Aegean and eastern Mediterranean, propelled by oars and a simple sail, used broadly for fishing, trade, and coastal transport, and at times for small-scale raiding in the fragmented waters of the Ottoman-era Aegean.
