Zymen Danseker was a Dutch corsair among the early European renegades who joined the Barbary corsairs operating from Algiers and Tunis in the early 17th century, credited by some accounts with introducing northern European sailing-ship techniques to the Barbary fleets. He later sought a pardon from the French crown and briefly returned to Christian Europe. Accounts of his eventual death in Tunis around 1611 vary in detail.
